Mowing

Keeping your lawn looking great takes a lot of time and effort. Sure, you could do it yourself. But with your busy and active schedule, why spend so much time on your turf? Our crew will be on your property with the know-how and the right equipment automatically. From week to week we’ll keep your turf cut, trimmed and looking its best all season. We use Bobcat commercial-grade mowers, which always provide a clean cut and a professional look.

Aeration

Core aeration is one of the most valuable services A Kut Above can provide for your turf. With this service, we’ll use an aerator to remove cores (or plugs) of soil across your whole lawn. This will let moisture, nutrients and oxygen reach your turf’s roots more easily. Aeration will also help to break up the thatch layer (which can block water and nutrients and provide a home for insects and disease if it gets too thick). The cores that the aerator pulls out will quickly decompose back into your turf, keeping your grass from losing nutrients and helping to break down thatch even more.

Mulching

Every lawn and landscape can benefit from regular edging and mulching. You might be surprised at what a difference these services can make for your property’s appearance! A Kut Above edges all turf areas next to sidewalks, driveways, patios, walkways and street curbs. We also control weeds in sidewalk seams and cracks. And with our mulching service, all shrub beds and tree circles are neatly filled with a premium-quality mulch. This not only gives your plantings a nicer appearance, but it helps to regulate soil temperatures and conserve moisture in the soil as well.

Shrub Pruning

Your shrubs will grow naturally on their own. However, professional pruning from A Kut Above can go a long way toward improving their appearance and health, especially for your flowering plants. And if you’re interested in having some new shrubs installed, we can help with that as well.

Snow Removal

Nobody has the time or the desire to shovel snow, and that’s where A Kut Above can help. Our snow removal services will keep your driveways and walkways clear and passable so you don’t have to. All snow removal is completed within a reasonable time frame, and always within the constraints of local township ordinances. We use Boss Snow Plows, which are on the cutting edge when it comes to snow removal.
